As some of you know, my father, Paul, suffered an Ischemic Stroke on 2/21/2008 which left him paralyzed on the right side and without speech. He spent a week at the Hospital before he was stable enough to move to a Rehabilitation Center. At that time, the doctor’s wanted him to start rehab as soon as possible. They said to expect a full, or close to full recovery, but that it may take as long as 5-6 months. Within a couple weeks he was talking somewhat, and was able to move his right leg, which gave us much hope.

However, on 3/5/2008, he apparently suffered a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack) and was rushed to Emergency A TIA is a “warning stroke” or “mini-stroke” that produces stroke-like symptoms but no lasting damage.

Currently, he is back at the rehabilitation center, and I have decided to take a few months off from my hectic performance schedule in order to help my family prepare for my father’s return home. Please stay tuned, as I hope to see you all again soon. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.
